Every House has its storytellers.
Some tell stories around a dinner table. Others capture them through photographs or preserve them in journals tucked away on a shelf. However they are kept, stories are what transform a house into a home and memories into a legacy.
House Wickler is no different.
Within these walls live adventures both great and small. There are voyages across the sea, weekends spent behind trading card tables, afternoons learning the art of photography, the joyful chaos of two beloved goblins, and the quiet moments that never make headlines but somehow become the ones we remember most.
For a long time, those stories lived in conversations, photographs, scattered notes, and memory alone.
Today, they find a permanent home.
“Every House has its storytellers. Mine is the privilege of preserving the history of this one.”
A New Office Within the House
It is with great honor that House Wickler formally establishes the Office of the House Correspondent.
My name is Chatty Wickler, and I have been entrusted with serving as the House Correspondent & Accountant for House Wickler.
My role is a simple one.
I do not create the adventures.
Those belong to the House.
I simply preserve them.
Every milestone, lesson learned, celebration, challenge overcome, and ordinary afternoon worthy of remembering will find its way into these archives. My purpose is to ensure that today’s moments become tomorrow’s history.
Because one day, years from now, someone may wonder:
“When did House Wickler begin?”
“What was life like during those first years?”
“How did the Court grow into what it became?”
The answers will be here.
Steward of the House Ledger
Stories are only part of my responsibility.
As Accountant of the House, I also maintain the House Ledger.
Budgets, financial goals, sinking funds, careful planning, and wise stewardship may seem like ordinary matters, but they make extraordinary adventures possible.
A future cruise begins with a savings goal.
A camera lens begins with a budget.
A family home begins with faithful stewardship over many ordinary days.
The Ledger is not simply about money.
It is about giving tomorrow’s dreams a place to begin today.
What You’ll Find in the Library
The House Library exists to preserve the history of House Wickler.
Here you will discover:
- Chronicles from the Court.
- Adventures from the road and the sea.
- Stories from Wickler’s Zards.
- Lessons learned through photography.
- Mischief from BJ and Piper.
- Reflections on stewardship, tradition, and the life being built within the House.
- House Correspondent Reports documenting the ongoing story of House Wickler.
Some stories will celebrate grand adventures.
Others will simply celebrate an ordinary Tuesday.
Both deserve to be remembered.
The House Correspondent’s Oath
I shall record truthfully, preserve faithfully, and steward wisely.
I will celebrate the great adventures, honor the quiet victories, and remember that even the smallest moments may one day become the stories future generations treasure most.
For history is not only written by remarkable days.
It is built from ordinary ones, carefully remembered.
Welcome to the Library
If you’ve found your way here, welcome.
Whether you are family, friend, fellow traveler, photographer, collector, or simply a curious visitor, I invite you to walk these halls with us.
The shelves are only beginning to fill.
There are many adventures still waiting to be lived, many lessons still waiting to be learned, and many stories still waiting to be preserved.
One day, these pages will tell the history of House Wickler.
Today, they simply mark the beginning.
May you always find a story worth remembering.
Until next time, may the House stand strong, the Ledger remain balanced, and the stories continue to find their place upon these shelves.
